Short Reminders About The Importance Of Sowing

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. – Galatians 6:7-8

The idea of sowing and reaping is a basic farming principle. If you plant corn, you will reap corn. If you plant weeds, you will reap weeds.

What We Sow
Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of unfailing love – Hosea 10:12

The same goes for our lives. If we are constantly sowing seeds of bitterness and anger, then that is the harvest we and others around us will be reaping. But if we sow seeds of righteousness and love, then it would make sense that those around us would also reap those things.

How Much We Sow
Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. – 2 Corinthians 9:6

Again a really basic principle but and really important reminder, the more seeds you sow the more harvest you will reap. If you don’t take advantage of opportunities to tell others about Jesus and all He has done for them, then they will never know.
