Dreaming Of Reconnection
Thursday, July 17th, 2008Today, one of the blogs that I follow posted a really great thought about the difference between those who dream and those who do. Ben Arment, Experience & Innovation Director at Catalyst, posted the following on his blog “History In The Making”
This week, no less than four people told me they’ve been dreaming of writing a book for years. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t have a dream. And as I’m interacting with some of the most influential people in ministry through Catalyst, I can tell you that the only thing that distinguishes them is having the disciplined action and courage to pursue it.
One of the deep passions of my heart is to reconnect “lukewarm” Christians to a real relationship with God. I have a dream of a retreat that would bring people back into a strong relationship with God. A 24-hour period where a large portion of the time is set aside for attendees to reconnect with God.
As I go on this journey of trying to make this happen, I wonder, “Are there others out there that share this passion to reconnect with God?” What if I do all this work and it falls on it’s face?
Right now, I am moving forward with this idea for a retreat, trusting that God will close the door if it’s not His will. Would you attend a retreat like this?
